Your dining dollars can do double-duty this month, as restaurants and nonprofits team up to make a difference!

Here’s how:

Through March 5: The Carying Place and Newk's Eatery

Now through Saturday, new Cary restaurant Newk’s Eatery, located at 1144 Kildaire Farm Road, will host donation buckets for The Carying Place, which works to help homeless, working families.

Through March 6: Girl Scouts

This Sunday is the final day of the Girl Scout cookie season! Sellers learn goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics, and net revenue of cookie sales stay with Girl Scouts–North Carolina Coastal Pines and its troops, for investment in our communities.

March 6: Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation and A Toast To the Triangle

The 30th anniversary of A Toast to the Triangle is Sunday, March 6 at NC State University’s McKimmon Center, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., offering fine dining, raffle and auction. The event benefits the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation; the Tammy Lynn Center provides educational, residential and family support services to families throughout the Triangle.

All month long: Military Missions in Action and Jersey Mike’s Subs

Throughout the month of March, find coupons on Military Missions In Action’s Facebook page to purchase subs, then drop off your monetary donations at participating Jersey Mike’s stores.

The campaign will culminate in a Day of Giving on Wednesday, March 30, when local Jersey Mike’s restaurants will donate 100 percent of the day’s sales to Military Missions In Action.
