Experience Ireland, on a Cary Magazine group travel adventure.

IRELAND AWAITS, and time is running out to be part of the trip!

Experience Ireland, a group travel adventure offered by Cary Magazine in partnership with Southern Cruise & Travel, offers a myriad of experiences in this majestic, his- toric land.

“Without question, group travel is a great way to have unique experiences with family, friends and new acquaintances,” said Paula Anderson of Southern Cruise & Travel.

“Your guide will be knowledgeable and fun, with a customized itinerary, and there’s always free time for you to explore on your own. In my experience, this is a wonderful way to travel.

“Also, Ireland is a great place to visit, a unique country with so much heritage and culture,” Anderson said. “The Irish people are wonderfully friendly, and the scenery is ab- solutely breathtaking.”

The deadline to register for Experience Ireland is March 7.

Highlights of the Experience Ireland itinerary include:

• Man O’War Public House: Lift a pint while tak- ing part in history, as this hillside pub marks its 419th year in 2014 — yes, you read that right — serving fine food and beverages in lively Irish fashion.

• Connemara Celtic Crystal F

Bring back the treasure of a life- time at this family-run establish- ment which produces one-of-a-kind, hand-cut crystal pieces, signed and dated for authenticity.

• Village of Spiddal: A vibrant seaside town where the conversation — and the signposts — are all in Irish, and craftsmen practice their trades. No worries; English is spoken here too.

• Cliffs of Moher: Marvel at this natu- ral vista in County Clare. More than 700 feet tall and 5 miles long, you can see Gal- way Bay on a clear day.

• Kate Kearney’s Cottage: Enjoy the award-winning Irish Night, featuring special menu, traditional music and dancers perform- ing jigs and reels, at this 150-year-old family- run spot, named for a renegade distiller.

• Blarney’s Castle: Built nearly 600 years ago, this landmark is home to the Stone of Eloquence. Lean back, hold onto the iron rail and kiss it, and legend says you’ll never be at a loss for words.

Experience Ireland is set for July 7-15; space is limited to 46 travelers.
