It’s a Win-Win

You bid, you win, and the dollars deliver smiles.

You don’t have to dress up. There’s food, and music. Told you — it’s a win-win.

The Meg’s Smile Auction Event happens this Sunday, July 19 from 6 to 9 p.m., to benefit the foundation founded by Jim and Terri Wasley of Holly Springs to honor their daughter, Meg, who died of a brain tumor in early 2011.

The all-volunteer organization grants “smiles” to children battling serious and sometimes terminal illnesses.

“We knew we wanted to keep Meg’s memory alive and try to help people, primarily kids, as best we could,” said Jim.

“For the families, we know what they’re going through,” added Terri. “We have a personal connection in this terrible world of cancer. We can look at the parents and say, ‘We understand.’”

The live and silent auctions on Sunday will offer the opportunity to bid on a wide selection of items including sports memorabilia, artwork, trips, gift baskets, a Carolina Hurricanes Fan Package and more.

Attire is casual, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be provided, and a cash bar available.

The Meg’s Smile Auction Event will be held at The Club at 12 Oaks, 2008 Green Oaks Parkway in Holly Springs.
