Make a Splash!

Be the first to get wet at the brand-new Fuquay-Varina Splash Pad!

A grand opening for the town’s splash pad will be held on Wednesday, July 15 at 10 a.m., offering cool fun for all ages.

The 6,000-square-foot, pentagon-shaped pad features multiple jets of streaming water from more than 35 flowing, jetting and misting water features.

The project comes after citizens indicated strong interest in a public splash pad during a town survey. Town officials bumped up the pad’s construction timetable to meet that request, making the Fuquay-Varina Splash Pad the first public splash pad to open in southwestern Wake County.

Attendees at the grand opening will enjoy free ice pops and inflatables, a ribbon cutting, and “Making a Splash in Fuquay-Varina” T-shirts, while supplies last.

The Fuquay-Varina Splash Pad is located at South Park, 900 S. Main St., and will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., through Labor Day, or longer as weather permits. Splash pad play will be free on opening day and thereafter.
