Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity of Wake County brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
We believe in a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Our model of seeking both sponsors and volunteers allows us to build a new home at a much lower cost, thereby offering a prospective family the opportunity to own a home of their own at an affordable, zero-interest, 20 year mortgage. Studies have shown that children of homeowners are 25 percent more likely to graduate from high school; 116 percent more likely to graduate from college; 20 percent less likely to become teenage mothers; 59 percent more likely to own a home within 10 years of moving out; and will save taxpayers an estimated $34,000 in public expenditures (cost of juvenile delinquency, teenage pregnancy, etc.) that would have been spent had they remained in rented housing. Habitat Wake is one part of the solution to break the cycle of poverty in Wake County.

We graciously accept financial donations, corporate sponsorship, Gift-in-Kind, and material donations within our ReStore. The ReStore accepts gently worn/ new home improvement items, building materials, furniture, appliances, and more that are then sold to the public through the ReStore. Proceeds from the ReStore support the Habitat Wake mission.
