Western Wake Crisis Ministry

Website: www.wwcm.org

About:

Provide a helping hand to the Apex & Holly Springs community — in the form of food or crisis financial aid — to those in our community whose ability to sustain independent living is threatened by unexpected circumstances: illness, car or home repairs, decrease in wages, etc.

Food Pantry: Western Wake Crisis Ministry distributes food to approximately 350 families (over 1000 people) each month.

Employment Counseling: Volunteers from the Americorps Job Link Program are presented each Wednesday. They are available to help clients locate employment, review applications or resumes & practice interview skills.

Crisis Financial Aid: Assistance is given to clients with payment of a bill or bills in emergency situations.

Thanksgiving Meal Collection: Families pick up meals from the WWCM office and prepare them in their homes.

The Christmas Store exists to provide new toys to children in low-income families by engaging volunteers in meaningful community service. Parents are able to visit the store to “shop” for free toys for their children.
