Get Ready for Green Day!
We’re celebrating Earth Day with a slew of Green opportunities on Saturday, April 22.

Litter Sweep
Sign-ups are underway for the Litter Sweep. This volunteer event is perfect for adults and teens. Participants work together to gather litter from the sidewalks, roads, and parks in Town. Gloves, trash bags, safety vests, and litter sweep routes are provided as well as light refreshments.  Pre-registration is encouraged. Anyone interested in participating can www.townofmorrisville.org/greenday to fill out a volunteer form and view the event waiver. The Litter Sweep will begin at 9:00 am at Town Hall (100 Town Hall Drive).

Recycling and Shredding
Recycling and Shredding are the most popular parts of Green Day. Organize your documents for shredding and gather electronics cooking oil for recycling ahead of time and then stop by Town Hall from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. We do request that paper is ready to shred. Any electronic device will be accepted for recycling. Oil for recycling must be free of food particles and in a container with a lid.
