Puppets designed, built, and manipulated with the help of a very special residency with Paperhand Puppet Intervention will take the stage alongside 39 young actors and technicians ages 8-17 to bring a beloved classic to life.

Applause! Cary Youth Theatre presents “The Neverending Story,” the story of a young book lover who finds himself pulled into a strange story to save the day. Shows are performed at the Cary Arts Center May 12-13 at 7:30 p.m. and May 14 at 3 p.m. The performance is recommended for ages 7 and older.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, and $5 for children five and younger; all tickets on show day are $10. In addition to classes and workshops, Applause! Cary Youth Theatre annually offers multiple mainstage production opportunities open to area youth. Applause! programs build theatre skills and encourage creative, collaborative and confident young people. The production of “The Neverending Story” marks the close of Applause!’s 18th season.
