The Polka Dot Mama Melanoma Foundation is partnering with Fortnight Brewery in Cary, which has brewed and canned beer to help raise awareness and funds for the nonprofit, to host No Fry Fryday on May 26, as proclaimed by Cary Mayor Harold Weinbrecht.

No Fry Fryday is meant to raise awareness of unprotected exposure to the sun, and ways to reduce the occurrence of skin cancer. The event also serves as a launch party for Fortnight’s new beer, Made in the Shade Summer Ale, brewed specifically for PDMF, which will be sold in 12 local restaurants.

Fortnight is located at 1006 SW Maynard Road in Cary. No Fry Fryday will include food trucks and live music.
