Jul 12, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
THE UMSTEAD HOTEL & SPA COLLABORATES WITH SAS FOR A POP-UP ART SHOW
WHAT: The Umstead Hotel & Spa announces a temporary pop-up art show. The special, limited engagement will feature works of art by North Carolina-based SAS artists-in-residence Juliana Craig and Pete Sack. On Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 6 – 8 p.m., The Umstead will host a complimentary opening reception featuring passed hors d’oeuvres and wine. The collection will be on display beginning July 1 and run through the end of the month.
Both artists-in-residence at SAS, Craig and Sack’s works of art must be versatile, moving with ease from abstract to representational imagery, from oils and acrylics to watercolors and pastels, from two dimensions to three, from an intimate scale to a monumental one. When they are not painting, the artists assist SAS with art acquisitions, researching new artists, commissioning and procuring art and cataloguing the ever-growing collection.
WHEN: Opening Reception

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
To reserve a spot, please call 919.447.4050; the opening reception is complimentary.
