Movies on the Farm

Jul 28, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Raleigh City Farm (RCF), a community-supported urban farm and host to several next generation farmers, will offer three nights of free movies as part of their inaugural, family-friendly summer movie series on the farm. “Movies on The Farm” will take place on the last Friday of the summer months: July 28th and August 25th.

The movie series is an opportunity for families to gather around and support Raleigh’s local food system. RCF’s mission is to grow the next generation of farmers by connecting the community to sustainable agriculture. With the movie series, RCF hopes to engage, educate and entertain people with two thought-provoking documentaries serving as bookends to an especially beloved animated classic.

Concessions (available for purchase) will include: Piedmont Picnic Project’s Popcorn Stand seasoned with local and wild toppings, and wild sodas flavored with locally harvested syrups. Farmer James will cook up something special using each week’s summer harvest. Beer, wine and make-your-own s’more kits will be for sale too.. RCF wishes to thank our sponsors, who have made this event possible: Spoonflower, Whole Foods Market – Raleigh/Durham, and Videri Chocolate Factory.
