Rise Biscuit Donuts will host the second annual Big Biscuit Showdown on Thursday, July 27 from 6-9 p.m., at The Rickhouse in Downtown Durham. This unique food competition features 13 teams comprised of Rise Biscuits Donuts locations and a local brewery or beverage company. Each Rise chef will prepare a special biscuit and donut with inventive toppings and fillings that will be paired with a local craft-made beverage.

The public is invited to taste, enjoy and then vote for its favorite biscuit, donut and beverage. The winners receive the coveted Big Biscuit Showdown belt. Tickets are $50 and available in advance at www.bigbiscuitshowdown.com.

All proceeds from the Big Biscuit Showdown will be donated to the Duke Cancer Institute through Give 1 For Dad, a local fundraising campaign to launch a clinical trial to test a novel approach to treat advanced prostate cancer patients. For more information, visit www.Give1ForDad.com.
