A pop-up jewelry event benefiting Cary Visual Art is just one of many ways you can give back this week.
Set for Friday, Sept. 25, the pop-up event is a collaboration between CVA and jewelry maven Kendra Scott, and held at the Guess-Ogle Home in downtown Cary.
Twenty percent of proceeds from your jewelry and accessories buys will go to support CVA’s community-building public art programs.

The fourth annual Living With Autism Superball Tournament is set for this Saturday, Sept. 26, with tee-off at 1 p.m.
The tourney, held at Lochmere Golf Club in Cary, includes a barbecue lunch, golf course contests, live auction, raffle, hole-in-one Porsche giveaway, dinner by Toast Café and live music by the Jared Place Trio.
Proceeds benefit Living With Autism, a Cary-based nonprofit that provides quality residential services to adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The 2015 Me Fine Foundation Gala will be held this Saturday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m., at the City Club in Raleigh.
A night of celebration, the gala features food and drink, live and silent auctions, and music by Crush. Festivities will be emceed by viral video stars Penn and Kim Holderness.
Me Fine provides financial assistance and emotional support programs to parents and caregivers whose children are receiving long term medical treatment from Duke and UNC Children’s Hospitals.

If you can’t imagine a world without clean drinking water, head to Rotary District 7710’s fourth annual GlobalRun4Water this Sunday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m., at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary.
Kids, adults, novices and experts are all welcome! The 5K race will be fully timed, so whether you run, walk or stroll you’ll get an official chip-recorded time with posted results.
Last year’s proceeds helped fund the building of a dam with a sediment filter to serve thousands of people in Honduras, and a solar powered water treatment system in Peru.
This year’s project is to help provide a water system upgrade and repair for St. Joseph’s School in Arusha, Tanzania.
The goal fulfills District 7710’s mission to help needy people in the world have clean drinking water, to promote healthier, fuller and more productive lives.
