The 10th annual Panther Creek Invitational Marching Band Competition will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 4 to 10 p.m., at Panther Creek High School in Cary.

Kick off the Triangle marching band season with this annual fundraiser which draws more than 3,000 fans each year for the sound and spectacle of students from nine area high schools, including Apex Friendship, Cary High, Green Hope and Middle Creek.

Gates open 2:00 pm

First band performs ~4:00 pm

(***biggest bands — Class 4-A – start playing ~ 8pm***)

Trophies awarded ~10:00 pm

Why: Panther Creek Invitational has become the traditional kick-off of the marching band season for many local band programs and is a fundraiser for the Panther Creek High School Marching Band which will finish this season competing in Bands of America National Championships at Indianapolis (BOA Grand Nationals in November).
