This fall, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina and the North Carolina State Parks continue Hike NC, a series of more than 60 free guided hikes across North Carolina’s state parks, nature preserves and your local community parks. Each hike will be led by the state’s top hiking and nature experts.

Come enjoy our Bat Hike to get you into the Halloween spirit! There will be a short introduction to this flying mammal before hike to the millpond.  By using a bat detector we can pick up their echolocation and even tell what species of bat we are looking at. There is no need to sign up in advance for this event. Please meet in front of the park office.
