Little Willie Farmer was born 1956 in Duck Hill, Miss. He learned the blues from his Uncle Waldo, who also influenced the country blues great Leo Bud Welch. Little Willie got his start in the church, before going on to perform alongside artists like Johnnie Billington, Bobby Rush and Lynn White. Little Willie Farmer is one of the greatest living purveyors of country blues guitar, in the vein of Texas blues legend Lightnin’ Hopkins.
