Celebrate Cary’s rural past at the 3rd annual Fest in the West festival Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex! Hop on an antique tractor, have your photo taken dressed as a farmer, or compete in the annual blueberry pie ­eating contest! This free festival promises to bring the Western Wake community together in the spirit of good old­-fashioned fun!

Beer, Food Trucks, Live Bands– Four local breweries, including Cary-­based USA Today’s #1 new brewery, Bond Brothers Beer Company, newcomer Jordan Lake Brewing and English-­style Fortnight Brewing will be pouring craft beers in a designated Beer Garden. The parking lot will feature a food truck rodeo with 10 trucks including Cousin’s Maine Lobster. Bands include area favorites Martin County Ramblers, The Blenders and Peak City Band. Bring your cowboy boots and hats if you have em’!

Old ­Fashioned Contests – Up for a challenge? A dozen festival­-goers will compete in the Whole Foods pie­ eating contest. Back by popular demand is the Orangetheory Fitness Hillbilly Horseshoes contest in which contestants toss toilet seats as they try to score a ringer.

Meet the Artists – Our Arts & Crafts Village will feature 35 artisans including a blacksmith, potter, wood turner and leatherworker demonstrating their crafts. All sellers create their own wares and are located within the Triangle region.

Not to Miss­ Don’t miss the Petting Zoo from Shaky Tail Farms, Imagine Circus performers and souvenir art making with Sociable Art.

When, Where and Who? Fest in the West will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at USA Baseball National Training Complex, 7445 Green Hope School Road in Cary from 11am­ 5pm. Rain date is scheduled for Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 11am­5pm. Free.
