The Junior League of Raleigh is revving up to host its annual TOUCH-A-TRUCK^® fundraiser this April to benefit its expanding BackPack Buddies program. Perfect for kids of all ages and interests, the lively event is sure to be a truckload of fun with construction equipment, emergency trucks, big rigs and mobile machinery to touch, climb on and explore. Children will also have the opportunity to meet and speak with Wake County’s finest including first responders, truck operators, area builders and community helpers.

Sponsored by Wells Fargo, the 2018 TOUCH-A-TRUCK fundraising event will be held on Saturday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Spring Hill Lot near Dorothea Dix Park at 701 Barbour Drive in downtown Raleigh. A quiet hour with no lights, sirens or horns will kick off the event and last until 11 a.m. for those who may be sensitive to lights and loud noises.

Discounted $5 event tickets and family packages are now on sale at jlraleigh.org/fundraising/touch-a-truck. Tickets will also be available at the event for $6 each; admission is free for children under 1.

Proceeds from TOUCH-A-TRUCK will benefit the Junior League of Raleigh’s BackPack Buddies program, which feeds children from food-insecure families in Wake County.
