These free workshops are designed to introduce participants to some of the basic principles and practices of mindfulness and how to apply them to daily life. All are welcome- beginners and experienced meditators alike.
Topics we will cover:
Using yoga and meditation to cultivate awareness and to reduce stress. Becoming more aware of what is happening in the body and mind in any given moment increases the possibility for acceptance and more skillful response to life’s stressors and challenges. Mindfulness-Based Yoga Psychology & Meditation can help people who are coping with medical problems, job or family related stress and anxiety or depression.
Mindfully Meeting Difficult Moments with Kindness
How often do you find yourself feeling like your imperfections are a mistake? Your difficult moments, a measure of your personal failing? What if you could view yourself and these moments as the foundation of your very belonging to the human race? We are all are guaranteed moments of pleasant and the mundane. And we will have times when we shine and when we fall on our face. It is just part of the experience of being human. Explore navigating the vulnerability of being human and how mindfulness and self-compassion practice offers the possibility of dancing with, rather than being defeated by, discomfort and difficult emotions.
