Join the Town of Cary, Town of Apex, and representatives from Wake County as we celebrate the opening of the White Oak Creek Greenway connection as part of the East Coast Greenway on Saturday March 9 at 2 p.m.! Enjoy the ribbon cutting, live music, refreshments, and the opportunity to explore the greenway. Parking will be available at Green Level High School (7600 Roberts Road, Cary), with the celebration site a short walk away. Transportation from the parking lot to the event will be provided for persons with mobility issues.

This project is a joint effort between the Towns of Apex and Cary and Wake County that extends White Oak Creek Greenway from Cary through Apex to a connection with the American Tobacco Trail near Wimberley Road. Presently, the trail crosses wetlands with 1700 feet of boardwalks, threads through a pedestrian underpass at Green Level Church Rd. and continues through Apex all the way to the American Tobacco Trail.
