The Triangle Esports Championship (TEC 2020) will return to the Triangle area February 7-9 at the Herb Young Community Center.

TEC 2020 allows you to play and compete with other esports enthusiasts in a variety of gaming activities. There are a few tournaments with cash prizes you can sign up to compete in. A Rocket League 3v3 (teams of three), Fortnite Duos (teams of two), Street Fighter (individual), and Super Smash Brothers (individual) tournaments throughout the weekend.

Other activities include the PlayStation Showcase, freeplay on 100 gaming rigs from Lenovo’s Legion line or on your own handheld console, as well as watching the tournaments and the announcers calling the action. TEC is a family-friendly event.

All proceeds support the work of two local nonprofits, Kramden Institute and the Triangle Literacy Council. Their programs help thousands of disadvantaged Triangle residents gain literacy and digital inclusion skills to succeed in school and beyond.
