Phillips Farms of Cary might have been in business for more than 100 years, but that doesn’t mean it’s stuck in the past. On April 3, the Phillips family is launching a farmers market, selling plenty of local produce and artisan-made goods.

Every Saturday and Sunday through August, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the market will host 25 local vendors, food trucks, and a local beer vendor. The farm is located at located at 6701 Good Hope Church Road in Cary.

Phillips Farms has grown into a large destination for families to visit from all over North Carolina. Michael Phillips manages the business, taking care of the thousands of visitors who come out each spring for strawberries, and each fall for pumpkins and the corn maze.

“I really like to see the kids be able to get out and run,” Phillips said. “We have an advantage being where we are. You don’t have to go far, and kids can come out here and get worn out.”

Fun at Phillips Farms is a year-round enterprise, with lots of agriculture-related family activities including a large play area, a bounce pillow, tractor pedal cars, a hay ride, and baby goats.
