Even though the new Bond Brothers Eastside location is just down Chatham Street from the popular brewery’s first spot, the vibe – and the intention – is different. 

“Our goal with this location is to be a music venue first, in a way… a music venue that has excellent beer,” said Jay Bond, co-founder of Bond Brothers Beer Company. 

A stage is the focal point of the main room at Eastside, with sound control and green rooms in the back. Each performance is an expertly executed operation. As a musician himself, Bond wanted to take special care with the design of the new space.

“We created this space as a listening room, so your focus is the music and the band,” he said. “We spent a lot of time creating the stage and working on the sound for this room to make it extremely listener friendly.”

If you’re looking to get into the local music scene, or enjoy music from area artists, there’s a full schedule of events at Eastside. Every week, the brewery hosts three open mic nights: Bluegrass on Sundays hosted by Brad Farmer, Singer-Songwriter night on Wednesdays with Garland Mason, and Jazz night on Thursdays with rotating hosts Paul Rogers and Thrio. Friday and Saturday nights are reserved for ticketed shows. 

A fan of Bond Bros. brews? Try eight taps, plus an expanded cider selection and wine list. The new location will also be the home for the brewery’s clean-barrel aging program. 

“We needed to expand our production,” Bond said. “Eventually we’ll have one-of-a-kind rotating taps that you can’t get at the downtown Cary location.” 

Bond Brothers also partnered with Bulkogi, the popular Korean barbecue food truck, to be a permanent food truck at Eastside. In addition to its usual menu of tacos, burritos, and rice plates, the food truck will have an exclusive menu only available at this location. The food truck will be on site every day. 

Craft beer, Korean barbecue, and local music make the perfect combo at Eastside. And don’t worry — the Bond Bros. team will still be around at both locations. 

“We’ll be in both places,” Bond said, of his brother and himself. “I run sound some nights, and Jeremy does all of our art.
