Holiday Movie Marathon

Head to The Cary Theater to watch some of the most iconic and beloved holiday movies: It’s a Wonderful Life, Home Alone, A Christmas Story, Elf, and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Check website for times and tickets.

TUBACHRISTMAS

The holiday event you didn’t know you needed: TUBACHRISTMAS is celebrating its 51st year. Hear festive tunes played by local tuba players at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Apex.
Cary Menorah Lightings
December 25 through January 2
The menorah at the Cary Arts center will be lit nightly throughout Hanukkah. Visit Downtown Cary Park for a special event complete with kids’ activities, music, and sweet treats as they light the menorah on the sixth night, December 30, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Morrisville Menorah Lighting
December 27, 4 p.m.
Head to the Indian Creek Trailhead as the Town of Morrisville lights the menorah.
Menorah Parade and Celebration
December 29, 2 p.m.
The festive parade is just the beginning! Hang around Lafayette Village afterward for latkes, crafts, a petting zoo, gelt drop, photo booth, and beyond.
Boxcar Jingle Bar
Through January 2
Christmas has taken over Raleigh’s Boxcar Bar + Arcade. Watch holiday movies, sip a special Christmas cocktail, and enjoy decorations that would make the Griswolds proud. Looking for love? Stop in for the Jingle Single Mingle on December 19. Wear your best (or ugliest) Christmas attire and decorate a stocking at the Boxcar Christmas Party December 21 from noon to 2 a.m.
Downtown Cary Park Skating Rink
Through January 4
Partake in an iconic winter activity at the FREE skating rink in Downtown Cary Park. Skates are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Special sessions on December 31 include Toddler Time for ages 6 and under from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sensory Friendly from 4-9 p.m. with softer lights, quieter music, and reduced rink capacity.
