The SAS Championship 5K, happening Sat., Oct. 16 at 8 a.m., will lead runners, families, and golf fans through a course unlike any other.

Enjoy the unique experience of running, jogging, or walking along the official tournament course prior to the second round of play. It’s a perfect way to connect with friends and family or shoot for a new personal record in the competitive divisions.

The host charity of the SAS Championship is the YMCA of the Triangle, and in the 20 years of the event over $5 million has been donated to area youth educational initiatives. Since the SAS Championship began supporting the YMCA of the Triangle’s academic programs, over 9,600 students have taken part in the program. The tournament annually contributes the single largest donation to the Y Learning Program.

• Individual Registration (Ages 18-60+):

• Family Registration (Family of four):
  • Through Oct. 8: $70
  • Oct 9 – 16:  $75
• Child Registration (Ages 9-17):
  • Through Oct. 8: $20
  • Oct 9-16: $25

Register by October 15th to receive a race shirt.

VIRTUAL 5K

For those who cannot join in person, we have added a Virtual 5K.  It’s free, but we ask that you make a donation when you register to benefit Making Strides against Breast Cancer.

How it works: Simply run your 5K any time until October 31, 2021 and enter your time in the online results.
