26th Annual Triangle Buddy Walk®

October 20 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

The North Carolina Down Syndrome Alliance (NCDSA) is hosting the 26th annual Buddy Walk to raise funds to provide vital resources and support to individuals with Down syndrome and their families throughout North Carolina. This year’s walk will be held on October 20 at Sugg Farm in Holly Springs from 1-5 p.m.

“We’re excited to gather our community together for this annual celebration of our loved ones with Down syndrome,” says Amy Navejas, Executive Director of the North Carolina Down Syndrome Alliance. “The Triangle Buddy Walk is free and open to the public. We invite you to join us in honoring the important individuals in our community who have Down syndrome and their contributions to society—and have a lot of fun while doing it!”

The NCDSA aims to connect families to each other as soon as they receive their child’s diagnosis or relocate to North Carolina, so they can establish a vital network of peers. By fostering these connections, providing tailored resources, and hosting programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families, the NCDSA gives individuals the tools to realize their limitless potential.

“This Buddy Walk will be a special one because we’re also celebrating our new partnership with UNC to create a Down Syndrome Clinic. The Clinic will benefit my son and others with Down syndrome who often have unique health concerns,” says Christy Cooper, Assistant Director for the NCDSA.

All are invited to join the NCDSA at this year’s Triangle Buddy Walk and a ceremonial ribbon cutting for the announcement of the Down Syndrome Clinic with UNC. It will be held on October 20 at Sugg Farm ( 2402 Grigsby Ave., Holly Springs) from 1-5 p.m. Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does, or just wants to show your support, we hope you’ll join us!
