On May 2nd 2014, Diane Hernandez lost her battle with leukemia. Diane was a dreamer, and towards the end of her bout with leukemia, she dreamed of playing a role in finding a cure. Her belief in a cure and desire to overcome spilled over to those closest to her. Her husband, Tony, founded Diane’s Dream Charity in her honor to make her dream a reality.

Last year, marked the 3rd Annual Diane’s Dream Charity Golf Outing for LLS. The participation and support DDC was overwhelming. Through the efforts of the DDC golf outing and silent auction, the charity was able to raise over $12,000 of proceeds that directly support the LLS of North Carolina. The donation helps execute the mission of the LLS to raise awareness and ultimately work towards a cure for blood cancers.

The charity is planning for the 4th Annual DDC Golf Outing for LLS. The event will be held at MacGregor Downs Country Club on Monday, May 21, 2018.
