The 9th Annual WAKE Up and Read Book Drive will be held from Jan. 29
through Feb. 28.
WUAR believes that building inclusive home libraries encourages positive
reading habits. Book access and ownership support students in developing
their identity as thriving readers.
Books are distributed to students at 15 partner schools and 17 childcare
centers. Children self-select books through free books fairs to take home and
read over the summer.
Join this year’s efforts to help ensure that each and every child is reading on
grade level by the end of third grade.
You can be a Literacy Champion!
