Bargain Box Spring Event

Mar 6, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm

On Monday, March 6, 2017, The Junior League of Raleigh’s Bargain Box will open at 1:30 p.m. to introduce its newest seasonal inventory for Spring. Twice a year, volunteers from the Junior League of Raleigh conduct “Turnstock” at the Bargain Box. This means all inventory of apparel, shoes and accessories is turned over for the new season. Regular customers typically line up in advance to search for bargains in the family oriented store. The store continues to receive new merchandise daily.

Since opening in 1951, the Bargain Box has contributed more than $1 million to the League’s efforts.  Proceeds from Bargain Box support the community work of the Junior League of Raleigh, including such programs as Aventwest Children’s Mentoring, Backpack Buddies, Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County, Communities in Schools, Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, Helping Horse, InterAct, SAFEChild and StepUp Ministry. Additionally, the Bargain Box serves the community directly by donating thousands of dollars-worth of merchandise to families and individuals in need through the Junior League’s Bargain Bucks voucher program.
