Cary Rugby Club Open House

FreeMark your calendar for February 25 at 11AM as Cary Rugby will be offering an Open House / meet and greet pick up Touch Rugby (Non-Contact). This will be a good introduction for all new kids as we will only be playing pickup games with coaches and players. This will be a free session and is a great way to see and learn the game.
Age 4 – 14 – No experience is necessary and the basics of rugby are very easy to learn. Come and join us!!
Cary Rugby mission is to teach and advance the sport of rugby and develop athletes to their highest abilities in a positive environment while instilling respect, discipline, commitment, integrity and honor both on and off the pitch.

Rugby in the United States is a growing national sport. Rugby is played at the youth, high school, club, and international levels. All rugby union played in the United States is governed by USA Rugby. There are currently over 115,000 players registered with USA Rugby.
Rugby is ranked as one of the fastest-growing sport in the U.S. The sports profile in the U.S. has received a tremendous boost from the IOC’s announcement in 2009 that rugby union would return to the Olympics in 2016. Since the Olympic announcement, rugby events such as the Collegiate Rugby Championship, the USA Sevens, and the Rugby World Cup have been broadcast on network TV. The USA Sevens, held every year in February as part of the World Rugby Sevens Series, regularly draws more than 60,000 fans to Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas
Cary Rugby is a registered youth rugby club with USA Rugby and participates in the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union.
