Cary’s biggest adventure takes place Saturday, September 16, when CaryCitizen creates the 8th
annual Cary Scavenger Hunt! One part Amazing Race, one part Treasure Hunt, this adventure takes registered teams on a quest around Cary to find the most answers to tricky clue questions during a limited amount of time, between 9:30am and 1:30pm.

Teams will be searching for Cary’s historical markers, public art, parks & greenways, schools, local businesses and more as the answers to our riddle-filled clue book. Imagine tasting ribs from a barbecue joint, putting together a robotic widget, posing with public art made from school lockers or climbing a 20-foot rock wall. These and 66 other tasks will be attempted by our competing teams this year.

The newest twist to this year’s event is the addition of a proprietary Cary Scavenger Hunt phone app. The app will allow teams to upload photos when they arrive at clue destinations, as well as log any answers and display sponsor logos when they arrive at those destinations. The app makes scoring easy for the panel of celebrity judges.

Cash prizes are awarded for the first place finishers in each of three team categories: Family Teams, Adult Teams and Corporate Teams. Anyone can win raffle prizes that will be randomly drawn at the finish area while awaiting the final score announcements.
