Arts at St. Luke’s will present David Arcus in an organ recital on Sunday, September 15, at 4 p.m. The performance will feature the works of Bach, Alain, Duruflé, Locklair, Arcus, and Durkop.

Formerly organist at Duke Chapel, David Arcus was appointed organist at St. Luke’s in April of 2024. David served at Duke University in various capacities for nearly 30 years in Duke Chapel, the Department of Music, and Duke Divinity School. His career spans activities as a recitalist, conductor, composer, teacher, and clinician. His compositions are published by Concordia, Hinshaw, and Wayne Leupold. His commercially released recording, “Organs of Duke Chapel,” is on the Gothic Label.

A reception will follow the recital. This event is free and open to the public. Donations to benefit St. Luke’s music program are welcome.
