Designed for Joy is hosting its first event to display first event to display and sell exclusive home décor and jewelry pieces. Products are one-of-a-kind as designed by local artist, Kristen Sydow, and handcrafted by local artisans considered high risk for sex and labor trafficking and/or vulnerable to food and housing insecurities. Proceeds from event sales will help provide a living wage to artisans enrolled in the program and help them gain marketable skills for success in the future.

About Designed for Joy: Inspired by international missions work, Designed for Joy is a faith-based, local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization creating living wage artisan jobs for Triangle-area
individuals who are considered high risk for sex and labor trafficking and/or vulnerable to food and housing insecurities. The organization partners with area ministries to serve those who are coming out of emergency situations, generational poverty, homelessness, rehabilitation
services, or jail. The mission of Designed for Joy is for artisans to find confidence in themselves and in their faith while gaining marketable skills and a solid job reference for success in the job
