The Durham County Pottery Tour showcases Durham’s vibrant and growing pottery scene with an open studio tour the second weekend of November (November 12-13, 2022). Visit participating studios to see a wide range of work, including sculpture, jewelry, and functional and decorative ware for the home and garden. Participating potters employ a breadth of materials and methods, including a variety of clay bodies (including “wild” clay gathered locally), surface decoration and glaze application techniques, and kiln firing atmospheres.
