EDM, information management services firm, will host the sixth annual EDM 4 US TROOPS Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Prestonwood Country Club from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  To offer further support to North Carolina’s military presence, the third largest military footprint in the U.S., all net proceeds will be donated to the honorees and our nonprofit partners.

The EDM4USTroops Charity Golf Tournament is produced in partnership with Enable America, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities find employment and live independently. This annual event is held to thank and honor the men and women of the US military and their families.

The event was founded and established in 2011 by EDM’s COO Arun Singh. Also partnering with EDM is the Soldiers and Airmen Assistance Fund (SAAF), a nonprofit organization founded in 2004 with the purpose of supporting the needs of those serving the State of North Carolina during peace and wartime. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern North Carolina also joins EDM by donating to veteran families with children with life-threatening medical conditions.

During this year’s event, EDM and Enable America will host an awards ceremony to recognize and honor four injured servicemen. Each honoree was nominated by past EDM4USTROOPS honorees for their bravery and leadership in combat and civilian life. Awarded soldiers will receive a cash reward for their sacrifice and service. The 2017 nominees include Spc. Mario Keck, retired Sgt. Joshua Czerepka, retired Sgt. John Rice and retired Sgt. Ian Sorsch.
