North Carolina State’s Farm Animal Days
What: North Carolina State University’s Farm Animal Days, hosted by Lake Wheeler Road Field Laboratory, is a three-day annual event that provides children with the chance to learn about life on a farm.
Pre-school through first grade children and their families will have the opportunity to touch and see farm animals including chickens, turkeys, ducks, pigs, sheep and goats, while learning about agriculture. Newly introduced KIOTI Tractors will also be on display for children to climb aboard and explore, along with a UTV.
Farm Animal Days is made possible by the North Carolina State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences departments of Animal Science, Poultry Science and Food Science.
