Farmers Fall Festival
Sep 28, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Come celebrate the Fall Harvest with the farmers of the Cary Downtown Farmers Market, Cary’s original, one and only, local farmers market, located at the historic Ivey-Ellington House on West Chatham Street.
The festival will take place in an expanded footprint emanating from the Ivey-Ellington House and spreading between Academy and Harrison Avenue with booths lining both sides of the street.
The Main Stage will feature Mysti Mayhem Band followed by Ethan Hanson filling the streets with music throughout the day. Don’t miss the Once in a Blue Moon Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest at noon between bands in front of the main stage! Locally made sustainable crafts will be for sale, and festival-goers can learn more about sustainable practices from booths with info about reducing waste, recycling, and composting.
Sample foods, or enjoy lunch options from a variety of food trucks. Don’t miss the Beer Garden on the lawn of the Ivey-Ellington. And we hear that Santa will pay Cary a visit while on his vacation! Look for him in the Kids Zone near Fidelity Plaza. Performances from area students will be staged on the plaza periodically throughout the day where you can watch these rising stars.
This is the 3rd year for this event and we anticipate between 3000-5000 attendees in our new more visible layout. Won’t you be a part of the fun?
