The Costa Rican Association In North Carolina invites all community members to join them in celebrating their Fiesta de La Paz, for the commemoration of Independence Day for all Central America and Mexico. The event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 8, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Food Bank: 1924 Capital Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27604.

That day we will have the services of the Atlanta Mobile Consulate and as an Honorary Guest we will have the presence of the Costa Rican singer-songwriter, Carlos Guzman from Gaviota. As well, there will be folkloric dances, games, contests, food, special guests and other Costa Rican traditions.

Because, in the words of the President of our Association, Roxanna George: “With this Fiesta de la Paz we are celebrating the 198th anniversary of our Independence and we dream that for the upcoming years this will work as a bridge to unite all the nationalities in one party that celebrates culture, food and fun. Pura Vida!”

That’s why we hope this will be the first event of many more to come where we can have the presence and support of all our Latin American brothers and sisters, and of every group and nationality that also identify themselves with our mission.
