Fundamentals of Sustainable Natural Dyeing Workshop with Katina Gad (2 day) October 21 & 22, 10am – 1pm

In this 2 day workshop you will learn the fundamentals of sustainable natural dyeing, this enjoyable course will familiarize you with the ancient art of dyeing using foraged plants, traditional dye plants, and everyday kitchen scraps.

Topics covered will be fiber preparation, plant mordants, plant selection, surface design, and fabric dyeing with natural dye. At the end of the workshop you will take home fabric samples from the dyes and processes used and your own silk scarf, all dyed by you!

This class will be held on Saturday & Sunday, October 21 and 22, from 10am – 1pm

All materials are included.

Beverages, and vegan snacks will be provided.

Class size is limited to 8 to allow for individual instruction, I will have an assistant or two on hand to keep the class moving and leave no one behind.

This class will take place in Raleigh, NC, you will be messaged a confirmation, directions to the workshop, and some additional information about dyeing within 3 to 5 days of your purchase.
