Helena Redman Quartet

October 12 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm

$10
A born singer, Helena Redman sang before she could even speak. The daughter of an eclectic music loving violin playing father and a mother who sang as well, she sang in church and the school choir growing up in Sweden. At 18, she performed in the musical The ShowBoat and caught the stage bug. At 19 she became the lead singer in an original funk band (B4Funk) in Stockholm, performing at the world-famous water festival.
After a cross-Atlantic sailing adventure, she later spent a year living in London, recording an original song for a movie project, and was called “a young Lisa Stansfield,” whom she later met. She then joined her older sister in south Florida, where she’s been a professional singer since the age of 25, performing all over the US. Helena relocated to Raleigh in late 2020, and has been busy establishing herself in the Triangle music community. Currently rehearsing for several different projects, working on original material, and performing ant many of the top music venues all around the area.
A diplomat’s daughter, her exposure to many different cultures and diverse musical influences from a very young age shaped her warm soulful sound and chameleon ability to sing many genres and languages. She will surprise and delight you with her engaging, joyful stage presence, playful energy, and connected vocal stylings that feel like a gentle hug for your soul and like you’re a part of something special. Not to be missed!
