“Heroes & Villians,” part of the symphony’s Young People’s Concert Series, will feature music from Superman and Batman, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Incredibles, and more to inspire the next generation of heroes. Come early for kid-friendly activities including face-painting and the Instrument Zoo — plus, meet costumed heroes and villains from Harry Potter to Darth Vader!

Show are 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 6, at the Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts. Tickets for the concerts, which run about an hour and are designed for kids ages 5 to 12, start at $26.
