“Honour,” a play by Australian playwright Joanne Murray-Smith, and sister show of the Women’s Theatre Festival

Honour has navigated the ups and downs of marriage with her husband Gus for 32 years.  Despite a promising career as a poet, she set aside her ambitions to support Gus and their daughter Sophie. When Gus betrays her and moves in with a woman half his age, Honour is left to reinvent herself.

In a series of intense confrontations, Honour, Gus, his lover and their daughter negotiate the forces of passion, lust, responsibility and honor.  These interactions are told in a distinctly original way, using theatrical language that is darkly comic, highly poetic and uncomfortably familiar.

Performances July 22 – August 12: Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm; matinees on Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00pm.
