“Hope Jam” Concert at North Hills to Benefit Bahamian Victims of Hurricane Dorian

Oct 24, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$25 – $50

Hope Jam Raleigh, in partnership with the Caribbean Youth Network, will host a benefit concert to support Bahamian victims of Hurricane Dorian at North Hills on Thursday, October 24. The benefit concert will feature Athens, GA-based band Mama’s Love from 6pm to 10pm at Coastal Credit Union Midtown Park. Local bands Midnight Snack and Steamroom Etiquette will open for the headliner.

Hope Jam Raleigh was created by Raleigh residents Kallie and Locke Walker and is run by a board of local young professionals who were struck by the devastation in the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian.

“We have a special love for the Abacos and, when thinking about how to contribute to relief efforts from afar, an upbeat concert that embodies the lively, resilient spirit of the Bahamian people seemed like the right fit,” said Kallie Walker. “Partnering with the Caribbean Youth Network, an established 501c3 nonprofit organization that is already on the ground supporting victims of the storm ensures all proceeds from Hope Jam Raleigh will immediately be put to good use.”

Tickets to the concert are on sale now at www.HopeJamRaleigh.com for $25 and may be purchased for $30 at the door, with all proceeds going to the Caribbean Youth Network.

The concert will be a family-friendly environment and kids under age 10 are admitted free of charge. Alcohol will be available for purchase during the event and food trucks will offer a variety of dinner options at Coastal Credit Union Midtown Park.
