Rang De Basanti – A Spring Sonata

Welcome all to another edition of Basant Bahar, the Triangle’s premier Indian community spring event. This year, we bring you a mix of music and dance by some of the area’s most talented choreographers and musicians. Glimpse the promise of spring in India’s joyful folk dances and the enduring genius of India’s creative prowess in her classical and semi-classical dance forms.

When music is inseparable from life itself, you can’t but have the best of musical traditions. Music informs the very rhythm of everyday life in India—it is there at birth, it is there at death, and it is there at every stage in-between. Rang De Basanti brings you a veritable musical feast , with vocal and  instrumental music performances, where you will get to hear traditional string instruments along with a range of percussion instruments, to lift your spirits and let you experience the divine. Other talented singers will add to the chorus with their mellifluous voices. This is an event you don’t want to miss!
