Impact Series: Beethoven and Beyond

FreeCelebrate fall with the free “Beethoven and Beyond” Faculty Artist Concert from the North Carolina Chamber Music Institute. The concert, which will feature NCCMI faculty musicians and members of the NC Symphony, will be held Sunday, October 30 at 4:00 pm at Church of the Nativity, 8849 Ray Road, Raleigh, and will feature works by both standard and new composers, as well as those who have been unfairly neglected.
A world premiere of “afloat” for piano trio by NCCMI alumnus Quenton Blache will be performed by NCCMI faculty. Blache is a composer and cellist currently working in California and recently toured the U.S. with the Sphinx Virtuosi. Also featured will be quartets by Germaine Tailleferre and Ludwig van Beethoven played by Aurora Musicalis. Elizabeth Beilman, Associate Principal Cellist of the North Carolina Symphony, Executive Director of NCCMI and Professor of Cello-Adjunct at NC State University, is curating the program which is open to the public.
The concert will also be recorded and streamed on the NCCMI YouTube Channel on November 6 at 6:00 pm.
