LAPS of Honor to Benefit U.S. Veterans Corps

LAPS of Honor Fundraiser in Cary
The U.S. Veterans Corps will host Laps of Honor, a swimming fundraiser, on Monday, May 28, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Glenridge Community Pool in Cary. Military representatives and members of the N.C. State Swim Team will swim laps to honor specific fallen veterans or groups of veterans. All funds will benefit the U.S. Veterans Corps which supports missions including Operation Coming Home, Toys for Lil’ Troops and Rescue Ruck. Swimmers: U.S. Marine Recon Sgt. Brandon Temple; Army Sgt. Raymond Brunet; Sgt. Anthony Von Canon; and the N.C. State Swim Team.

All funds raised will directly support the missions of the US Veterans Corps whose missions include:
- Operation Coming Home – providing custom Hero Homes for troops injured in combat operations.
- Toys for ‘Lil Troops – providing toys to children of deployed and low income troops.
- Rescue Ruck – providing food for military and veteran families in need.
- Rescue Me Across America – providing aid to the US Military and Veteran and families.
