Note in the Pocket’s Socks & Undie 5K Rundie
Apr 27, 2019 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm
$30Note in the Pocket hosts its 6th annual 5K to raise money to support Wake County schoolchildren. On Saturday, April 27, at 8:30 AM at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh.
Note in the Pocket is a nonprofit serving the children in Wake County schools with a mission of clothing children in dignity and love. Note in the Pocket believes that it is unacceptable that children are limited in their educational and social development because they do not have appropriate clothes for school.
In 2018, Note in the Pocket provided clothing packages for more than 4,000 people, mostly children, in all 12 cities and towns in Wake County. The nonprofit has delivered 89,564 donated items — clothing and shoes — valued at nearly $650,000.
Join Note in the Pocket on April 27 to run for a cause and community that matter.
Registration closes on April 24, and 5K entry fees start at $30 and include a short-sleeve performance t-shirt. Race options are comprised of Corporate Teams and Group “Rundie Teams” along with the Dog Trot Run and Kids Fun Run. The course, certified by the US Track & Field Association, goes through historic Dorothea Dix Park and has a view of the Raleigh skyline.
