Join the Piedmont Wildlife Center in a mini BioBlitz! With the help of expert naturalists, we’ll go on an owl prowl and survey our local nocturnal raptors. In years past, we’ve documented species that were new to both North Carolina and the United States! What will we find this year? In honor of the Year of the Bird, let’s find out!

At this free event, you can learn all about who and what lives in the nature around you, meet some of our native wildlife ambassadors, become a scientist in the great outdoors, and more!

This event will be the first of a series of mini BioBlitzes. Rather than scour the park for all the species in 24 hours, we will be focused on certain taxon during each mini BioBlitz.
