A gripping reimagination of events the night before the assassination of the civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. On April 3, 1968, after delivering one of his most memorable speeches, an exhausted Dr. King retires to his room at the Lorraine Motel while a storm rages outside. When a mysterious stranger arrives with some surprising news, King is forced to confront his destiny and his legacy to his people.

The Mountaintop is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.

Performances will take place outside, socially distanced, in the Stephenson Amphitheatre.

The show contains adult themes and strong language and is recommended for ages 15+.

Show Times:

Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00pm
Single ticket prices, excluding tax and fees:

Adult: $20
Senior/Student: $15
Seniors are age 62 and up. Students are through college.

For the safety of all attendees, a maximum of 200 tickets will be sold for each performance (subject to change). Tickets are general admission, but we will have areas marked off for seating to ensure proper social distancing. A ticket is required for all patrons, regardless of age.
