INTRO TO RUGBY CLINIC DATES ANNOUNCED
Join the fastest growing sport in the US at Raleigh Rugby’s annual U19 Intro to Rugby Clinic

The Raleigh Rugby Football Club’s annual High School/Under 19 Rattlesnakes Introduction to Rugby Clinic will be held December 4-8, 2017 from 6:30 – 8:15 pm at the Raleigh Rugby Complex, 7414 Poole Road in Raleigh.
This clinic is designed to introduce high school-aged boys to the sport of rugby football. The clinic is coached by the Vipers’ (Raleigh’s men’s team) head coach and the Rattlesnakes coaching staff – all accredited USA Rugby coaches; and focuses on the fundamentals of rugby, including: teamwork, running with the ball, catching, passing, tackling, safety, respect, discipline, fair play and more, with a scrimmage on the final evening refereed by certified USA Rugby referees.
Athletes of all shapes and sizes are encouraged to attend the clinic. It will be a preview to playing with the Rattlesnakes in the North Carolina Youth Rugby Union’s (NCYRU) High School Open Division 2018 Spring Season. Following the clinic, there will be Saturday morning practices until regular Tuesday and Thursday evening practices begin in the new year. Competition begins in February and runs through May; it is a Spring-only season. All practices and home matches are held at the Poole Road Rugby Complex.
The Raleigh Rattlesnakes high school team is the Raleigh Rugby Football Club flagship youth team, recruiting players from within its extensive youth program (U14, U12, U10 and U8) as well as from local high schools and kids from other countries who have grown up playing rugby. The Rattlesnakes were formed in 2007 and are the 2014 and 2015 State (NCYRU) Champions.
The cost for this clinic is $100 per player, which includes USA Rugby’s mandatory registration and insurance protocol). Scholarships are available upon request.
